Cold water freezes out Balomoral loch swimmers

An EVENT at Balmoral has been cancelled due to "unseasonable" water temperatures.

The two-mile swim down Loch Muick was due to be held at the weekend, but temperatures of 11 degrees have forced a rethink.

Organiser Chic Grant, said: "It's quite unseasonable - 11 degrees is classed as freezing in open water swimming."
