City businesses grow

THE number of new businesses set up in Edinburgh has increased by around a quarter compared to this time last year, new research has revealed.

In the three-month period to the end of January, 960 new businesses were incorporated in the city, up 24.4 per cent on the same period last year, according to the city council.
