Boy, ten, survives 200ft fall from tower block

A TEN-year-old Chinese boy has survived falling 20 storeys, about 200ft, from a high-rise flat and landing on a parked car.

A doctor at the People's Hospital of Guizhou in southern China said he cracked his skull and suffered a brain bleed. He remains under close medical observation in hospital.

The state-run Xinhua News Agency said the boy fell from an open apartment window on Monday morning and his fall shattered the car's back window. The doctor, from the neurosurgery department, said it was a miracle the boy had survived.

Xinhua's reported police as saying his fall was assumed to be accidental.
