Blaze destroys isles' fish processing plant

THE Western Isles' largest independent fish processing factory was destroyed in a fire yesterday.

Firemen fought the flames at the Gramsdale building in north Benbecula for hours, hampered by thick black smoke from burning polystyrene boxes. The premises are owned by West Minch Salmon.
