Bales of hay catch fire

THREE bales of hay caught fire in Musselburgh yesterday afternoon as a result of a build-up of heat.

Firefighters used beaters, muckhawks and buckets of water to extinguish the fire, which broke out on Wedderburn Terrace in Inveresk just before 3.30pm.

Nobody was injured in the blaze. One appliance from Musselburgh attended the scene.
