41 evacuated in fire at old folks' home

Elderly residents of a care home had to be evacuated after a fire broke out at the property.

Three fire engines battled the blaze in the Lisden Care Home in Kirriemuir on Thursday night.

Emergency services rushed 41 residents to a safe area near the home after the fire started.

It took about half an hour to extinguish the blaze.
