BrewDog crafts 19th UK opening in Leicester
The move marks the 19th UK site for the maverick Aberdeenshire brewer, which has been a driving force behind the micro-brewery and craft beer revolution.
BrewDog Leicester is the second bar to be launched by the firm this year, after its Barcelona opening in February. The Leicester venue features a curved bar and “cinema-style” draught-beer board, as well as vintage arcade games and pinball machines. It will be the first to serve breakfast at the weekends. James Watt, who co-founded the brewer alongside Martin Dickie, said: “Leicester is a vibrant, cosmopolitan city and we’re thrilled to be setting up a home there. With BrewDog bars in Nottingham and Birmingham, and now Leicester, we have well and truly put our stamp on the Midlands.
