Thomas Cook ticked off over bonuses

Thomas Cook shareholders rebuked the company's board yesterday for shifting bonus targets in the wake of the volcanic ash cloud.

Nearly half of shareholders failed to back the remuneration section of the company's annual report, which contained revised bonus goals for the 100 most senior staff. Fifty-three per cent of votes were in favour of the report, with 34.1 per cent against and 12.7 per cent withheld.
