Seafood firms may be put up for sale

Two of Britain’s best-known seafood brands may be sold as their owner looks to slash its debt pile.

Owner Lion Capital has reportedly appointed advisers for a possible sale of Young’s and The Seafood Company, which are both part of the frozen food group Findus.

The Seafood Company, which serves all of the major supermarkets, has a site near Edinburgh dedicated to supplying Waitrose.
