New president of National Farmers Union of Scotland announced

Borders farmer, Nigel Miller was appointed National Farmers Union of Scotland president, taking over from Jim McLaren who stepped down after four years in the top seat.

The new top team at the union was completed with the appointment of near neighbours Allan Bowie and John Picken, both from the East Neuk of Fife, as vice-presidents.
