Menzies names new distribution chief

Logistics group John Menzies today said it has picked an internal candidate to replace David McIntosh as head of its newspaper and magazine distribution arm.

Forsyth Black, who has been with the Edinburgh-based firm for more than 14 years, takes up his new role on 1 June. He is currently senior vice-president for Africa, the Middle East and India at Menzies’ aviation division.

McIntosh, a 25-year veteran of Menzies, announced his “mutually agreed” departure in January.

Menzies also said today that Silla Maizey, a former British Airways executive, will be joining its board next month as a non-executive director.
