Clive Cowdery turns his eyes across Atlantic

Resolution founder Clive Cowdery is reported to have scouted potential American takeover targets for his UK insurance industry consolidation vehicle.

Resolution is said to have talked to Royal Bank of Canada about buying its US insurance unit Liberty Life, but that Cowdery baulked at the eventual sale price to a third party of 392 million.
