You may imagine that however long your parents or grandparents lived for, determines your life span. That's not necessarily the case, according to new research from Gothenburg's Sahlgrenska Academy. Their study discovered that our habits affect our longevity as much as genetics. They also found that those who had low cholesterol, consumed moderate amounts of coffee and were physically healthy in their early 50s had the greatest chance of making it to 90.
