The anonymous bidder placed the winning bid with just 20 seconds to go before the auction closed, raising the bid £100 from the £10,701.00 bid placed before them.

The sale was part of an auction for the charity called ‘loosen up!’, which encourages celebrities from the world of TV, music, and sport to donate their signed ties and other clothing accessories – in order to raise funds for causes relating to testicular, breast and prostate cancer in men.

The sale also included a ‘pocket Jamie’ - an 8” cut out of his character from Outlander - and a signed DVD.

The auction also included other items from celebrities such as a signed tie from Rod Stewart, which sold for £440.

Andy Murray, Rafael Nadal, Sarah Jessica Parker, Lewis Hamilton and Bryan Cranston were some of the other stars who donated to the cause.
