Margera, 33, who had been part of Eminem’s tour entourage, was arrested at the Jurys Inn hotel in Jamaica Street after demanding a room. The professional skateboarder also sat down and drank a bottle of whisky after being refused accommodation.

He claimed that the tirade was part of a stunt for the latest Jackass film, Jackass 4.

He had been in the city accompanying his friend, rapper Yelawold, who was the support act the Eminem gig.

Margera, whose real name is Brandon Cole Margera, appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court earlier today.

A police spokeswoman confirmed the arrest earlier today, saying: “A 33-year-old man was arrested in connection with an alleged breach of the peace and possession of an offensive weapon within an hotel in Jamaica Street, Glasgow on 20 August 2013.”

The Eminem concert was the last of the new city based music festival, Glasgow Summer Sessions.

The event has been hailed as a major success, as the trio of concerts held at Belahouston, which included US rockers Kings of Leon and UK rapper Tinie Tempah, attracted 100,000 music fans, almost two thirds of whom came from outwith the city.
