George and Julia head the hot list

ACTORS George Clooney and Julia Roberts have been voted the most beautiful people on the planet.

The results of a poll out today put new mother Roberts top of the favourite females list, above Hollywood beauty Angelina Jolie and former Friends star Jennifer Aniston. In the men’s ranks, Clooney pushes his Ocean’s Twelve co-star Brad Pitt into second place with David Beckham third.

Olympic double gold medallist Kelly Holmes wins the vote for favourite sports personality, followed by Beckham and Jonny Wilkinson.

Dennis (EastEnders’ Nigel Harman) is the public’s best-loved TV star, followed by Ant and Dec and Coronation Street’s Chesney (Sam Aston) in a poll of 700 visitors to the Madame Tussauds waxworks museum in London.

The Beckhams remain the favourite celebrity couple, beating Aniston and her husband Pitt into second place, followed by talk show hosts Richard and Judy.

Abi Titmuss is the most pointless celebrity, according to the survey, followed by Paris Hilton and Rebecca Loos, while Simon Cowell is the least favourite celebrity followed by Britney Spears and J-Lo.

US President George Bush was voted the least favourite politician, followed by Tony Blair and Michael Howard.
