Westie dog Baxter's paddle in Loch Lomond scoops photo prize

A photograph of four-year-old Westie, Baxter, emerging from Loch Lomond taken by owner Tom Lowe scooped first place in the Dogs at Play category in the Kennel Club Dog Photographer of the Year competition.

Other winners included a picture by Linda Storm, of the US, of a rescue puppy enjoying a bowl of milk, which won first prize in the Puppy category; a picture of Sheldon the English Springer Spaniel entering the water, by Anastasia Vetkovskaya from Russia, which came first in the Dogs at Work section and Jade Hudson’s shot of Labrador Retriever Hugo, which won the I Love Dogs Because...(under 18) category.
