Video: Cersei Lannister takes Walk of Shame down Royal Mile

Improv comedy supergroup Baby Wants Candy has reimagined Cersei Lannister's infamous Game of Thrones '˜Walk of Shame' - only this time she was castigated on The Royal Mile.

The American improvisational comedy clique is at this year’s Edinburgh Festival with two shows, promoting their Baby Wants Candy Improv act and ‘Thrones! The Musical Parody’.

‘Thrones!’ is thrilling fans of George R.R. Martin’s fantasy conflict series, as the seventh series of the show gains momentum with UK audiences and today’s Walk of Shame comes just hours before the show’s episode 6 UK premiere.

Today’s Cersei Lannister – played by BWC member Jack Davies – kept her head held high wearing nothing but a nudity suit and survived both the brisk Edinburgh breeze and taunts of “Shame! Shame! Shame!” from crowds of fans on the famous Mile.

Onlookers who aren’t fans of the show were probably left scratching their heads at the marketing absurdity of the scene, with ‘Cersei’ followed closely by the Septa (the Westerosi answer to a nun) ringing a bell and leading the chants of “Shame!”

Clutching his rubber appendages, performer Jack said: “We’re here advertising ‘Thrones! The Musical Parody’ by the Baby Wants Candy team.

“They’ve created a full-length musical parody show out of all the series of Game of Thrones,” before adding, “it’s an absolute riot.”

• Thrones! The Musical can be seen in the Assembly George Square Gardens at 4.55pm from the 14 to 28 August.
