Video: 10,000-shot timelapse of wintry Scotland

Edinburgh Castle, Ben Nevis and Glencoe all feature in a stunning time-lapse video from a Southampton-based photographer.

Andrew Dixon created the video using over 10,000 still photographs taken on a recent trip to Scotland.

Shot in November, the video shows many familiar winter sights, such Edinburgh’s Christmas market and the annual rush to Princes Street.

The video also takes in many of the country’s most famous natural landmarks, including Glencoe, Loch Awe and Ben Nevis.

Incredibly, this is Andrew Dixon’s first attempt at time-lapse photography, and he plans to return to Scotland in the near-future to make a more comprehensive video which covers the whole country.
