Moreover, the Glasgow-based five piece have also been picking up plays from the likes of Dermot O’Leary on Radio 2 and Roddy Hart’s show on Radio Scotland. Although they describe themselves as alternative indie-rock, the band have a more subtle sound than many of the acts who would put themselves in that category. On their new single, Overun, the vocals suggest a crooner-ish yearning, while a jangly guitar provides a touch of summer lightness. The track, which was released on Friday, is mixed by veteran producer Paul Savage and comes a week after the band played Glasgow’s St Luke’s Festival. Acrylic venture out of the Central Belt to play Belladrum Festival early next month. Listen at www.acrylicmusic.co.uk/single/
