Student video game design competition open for entries

DARE to be Digital - the world’s leading computer game design competition for students - has opened for entries, allowing aspiring gaming professionals the chance to win their very own BAFTA.

Run by the Dundee’s Abertay University, Dare to be Digital involves hundreds of students competing every year to become one of 15 teams chosen to build a working game prototype in just nine weeks.

The games then go on show to the public and to industry experts in Dundee in August, with three winning teams picked to compete for the BAFTA “Ones to Watch” award.

“Any talented art, design and programming students wanting to create computer games for a living should definitely apply. Everyone who takes part in Dare gets professional experience and contacts you just can’t get anywhere else.”
