My worst moment ever was… In 2000 when, simultaneously in the middle of the Fringe, the power went and the drains flooded at The Stand.

Three words that sum up my personality are... Outward-going, passionate and gregarious.

Favourite place in the world? I’d probably have to go for Edinburgh, actually. It’s such a lovely, vibrant city.

Three places in Edinburgh I could not live without are... The Stand Comedy Club, Blackford Hill and Earthy, a local produce store and market garden in Causewayside.

Who is your best friend? That’s a tough one. I’ve got different types of best friends. I’d probably better say my partner, Kate.

Which TV show do you never miss? At the minute, I would say any Scandi crime drama. I never miss those.

If you could bring one show to Edinburgh what would it be? That’s easy. I’d love to bring Billy Connolly to The Stand.

Name one item you could not live without? Good red wine.
