Revealed: 12 best new buildings in Scotland

Twelve of Scotland's most exciting new buildings have been recognised by the prestigous Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland (RIAS) Awards 2017.

Announced at an awards dinner in Edinburgh on Wednesday evening, the winners will now all be shortlisted for the RIAS Andrew Doolan Best Building in Scotland Award, to be presented in November.

Stewart Henderson, president of the RIAS, said: “The quality of contemporary Scottish architecture is well worthy of celebration.

“These awards demonstrate that buildings of all scales and throughout the country are exemplary in their design, execution and in what they deliver for their clients, users and communities.”
