Readers’ pictures of the week

From a fog-enshrouded Forth Road Bridge to a sparrowhawk with an eye for the camera, this week’s selection of photos sent into The Scotsman gives an interesting snapshot of Scottish scenes.

Kevin Kirk was disapppointed not to see the Aurora Borealis, but did capture a lovely image of the East Sands, St Andrews, at dusk, while Campbell Newell captured a ‘saltire’ in the sky over the same Fife town.

Curtis Welsh took an atmospheric shot of old fishing boats at Achiltibuie, while Dr Dennis Connolly captured the warmth of the sun hitting the stonework of Craigmillar Castle.

We hope you enjoy this week’s selection and if you would you like to submit your own entry for publication in this gallery and within The Scotsman then please email [email protected]
