£1m bonanza for arts outlets

SCOTTISH cinemas, theatres, libraries and creative workshop facilities are to benefit from almost £1 million of investment from Creative Scotland. The £900,000 capital investment is aimed at improving creative spaces across Scotland.

Among the 15 projects receiving money will be the Glasgow Film Theatre, which has been awarded £100,000 to help construct a new third cinema, the Scottish Poetry Library in Edinburgh awarded £93,750 towards extending its collection and the revamped town hall in Airdrie.
