Potter’s girl takes to the magical world of theatre

HARRY Potter star Katie Leung is to make her stage debut in the adaptation of another literary bestseller.

The 24-year-old Scottish actress, who plays Potter’s girlfriend Cho Chang in the film franchise based on JK Rowling’s tales of young witches and wizards, will take on the role of author Jung Chang in Wild Swans at London’s Young Vic.

The book tells the history of China in the 20th century through the eyes of three generations of women in Chang’s family.
