SUBSTANCE Presents JEFF MILLS

Jeff Mills - aka The Wizard - IS Detroit techno. He was the founding member of musical collective Underground Resistance (UR), who maintained strictly anti-mainstream views, projecting their concepts into the music we now know as techno.

An iconic figure with an uncompromising style, he shares parallels with film composers by using sound to create an instantly recognisable mental visual.

Resident DJ Gavin Richardson will be playing his own thunderous style, warming up the crowd before the legendary DJ takes to the decks. Not to be missed.

Messenger Sound System - Birthday Special

CLUBLAND institution Messenger Sound System reaches the ripe old age of 20 on Saturday.

With regular appearances over the years from the biggest names around, MSS has become the true home of reggae in the Burgh.

Saturday is a Bob Marley tribute, so expect quality music played through the heaviest sound system outside Kingston Town.
