New Arctic fox arrival at Highland Wildlife Park

The four-year-old female, named Elf, arrived from Holland last week as a companion for the park’s seven-year-old male Houdini.

The animals are said to be getting on “like a house on fire” and have already shown mating behaviour.

Arctic foxes tend to have on average between five and eight cubs however it is not unknown for the mother to produce up to 25 cubs.
