Local Buzz: Matt Norris and the Moon

AN Edinburgh-based contemporary folk band, “influenced by traditional Scottish folk as well as more contemporary folk”.

Says main man Norris, “It’s sometimes lively and upbeat, sometimes haunting but it’s characterised by tight four, sometimes five part harmonies, energetic acoustic guitar rhythms, trumpet riffs, driving double bass lines, as well as fiddle, mandolin, piano and accordion.”

Tonight, the band share a bill with Midnight Lion, Aerials Up and Washington Irving at Electric Circus during Pelmet Nites’ fifth birthday show.
