Lights, sound... action

THE first audience for the lavish sound and light show being staged on Arthur’s Seat as part of the Edinburgh International Festival gave the experience the thumbs-up.

Speed of Light features 200 runners wearing special suits fitted with lights who create dazzling effects by following a series of choreographed routes across part of the landscape before a backdrop of the city skyline. The show last night was to mark the international festival getting underway in the city.

Nathan Gove, 39, said: “I think people will love the show when they see it. Climbing up Arthur’s Seat is already the best thing you can do if you live in Edinburgh.”
