Jean Paul Gaultier pops up with next year’s look inspired by stars of 80s

French fashion designer Jean Paul Gaultier has unveiled his latest designs for next year’s spring and summer season.

The work of one of the world’s most recognisable designers is being showcased at Paris Fashion Week.

Gaultier mimicked some of the pop world’s most iconic stars, including David Bowie, Madonna, Grace Jones, Michael Jackson and Boy George.

Gaultier’s collection was billed as a tribute to “all the pop stars of the 80s who have influenced fashion”.

He also took inspiration from chart-toppers Abba, Annie ­Lennox and Prince.
