2 MUSIC: the buzzcocks A Formed in Manchester in 1975, the Buzzcocks were one of the most important bands to emerge from the first wave of punk rock. The band still comprises original members Pete Shelley and Steve Diggle, with new additions Chris Remington and Danny Farrant. A chance to see a bit of punk history.

3 COMEDY: the improverts A The Improverts’ legendary show has played to packed houses on Friday nights for the past eighteen years. Various improvisation games based on audience suggestions give rise to a hilarious and unique show every time.

5 COMEDY: the friday show Host Stu Murphy introduces Mrs Barbara Nice (so you’d better be on your best behaviour), Markus Birdman, Sully O’Sullivan, and Jay Lafferty. Five acts on a two hour stand-up showcase. Featuring comperes, the best headliners on the circuit, several support acts and a short spot for a newcomer. Great show and great value as it’s usually the same line-up as the Saturday night show for a fiver less.
