There are now a number of apps out there to make London Fashion Week easier for the people who will be sitting front row (or, indeed, standing on a milk crate at the back) and we’ve rounded up our favourites. Forget faffing around with invitations, this app allows users to register for events, RSVP to shows and check in by scanning their own personal barcodes. With over 4,500 users, it also allows the shows’ producers to send invitations, arrange that all-important seating plan and even keep up with the whereabouts of editors and buyers.

“Christian Loubou-whatnow?” If you’re not up on your fashion pronunciations, fear not. This why-didn’t-we-think-of-that? app gives you the phonetic spellings of those tricky-to-pronounce names of designers and brands. You can even listen to a recording of the correct pronunciation, ensuring you never put your Louboutin-clad foot in your mouth.

Launched in 2008, this very fashionable portal remains the place to go for pictures from the latest shows. Log on for behind-the-scenes images and reviews.

When you need a break from dashing between shows, this very stylish app from W magazine will recommend restaurants, spas, shops and cultural hotspots in the vicinity. It also collates tweets and has an events calendar.
