THE film-maker behind the award-winning documentary about Donald Trump’s golf course development in Aberdeenshire has revealed he has begun work on a follow-up.

Anthony Baxter said he had started shooting what he described as a “sequel” to You’ve Been Trumped, which showed Michael Forbes’ tussles with the tycoon over his refusal to sell-up and make way for the

Mr Baxter said he intends to have the next film finished in time for the Scottish independence referendum, and will explore the political fall-out from the Menie development, examine progress on the other elements of the project which have yet to get off the ground and look at other “horrific” golf course developments around the world.

Mr Baxter has won funding in the form of a £10,000 grant from Creative Scotland, to help distribute and promote You’ve Been Trumped around the world, having initially been turned down by the agency, BBC Scotland and the Edinburgh International Film Festival.

The documentary was eventually screened at the Toronto Film Festival after being rejected for Scotland’s flagship cinematic showcase.
