Comedy review: Harriet Kemsley: The Girl On The Wrong Train

She is cheerfully neurotic with an entertaining penchant for oversharing, and her delivery gives the whole experience the feel of being caught up in a group of ­girlfriends who have all gone to the toilet together to talk about boys.

At first sight, Harriet is sweetly girly but what is most fun about her is that every so often you would swear you can see razor wire underneath the sugar and spice and all things nice.

She shares a few memories about the morning after pill and then gets stuck into the main part of the show, which is about her relationship and the fact she is getting married next year. She now has the dress and is well into wedding planning but those of you who have seen Harriet before will already have an image of how it would be if she went to a wedding fayre in a field in Maidstone.

She also paddles in the pool of sexual politics with some well observed stuff. Men – think twice before sitting in the front row.
