ANIMAL HOSPITAL & BANANA SESSIONS - RIOT

Back in Studio 24, tomorrow night Animal Hospital and Banana Sessions get ready for a messed up party, with messed up sounds and a strange mix of pop, techno and folk music. How’s that going to pan out you wonder? It’s hard to explain without hearing them, but Banana Sessions smashed Wickerman, Insider and Kelburn festivals this year. Collaborating with the Animal Hospital crew should ignite your imagination as to how whacked out it’s going to be. Don’t forget your Bungle costume and bottle of water.

XY – CAMO & KROOKED

Hospital Records are a serious Drum ‘n’ Bass force. Their main act Camo and Krooked have been topping the charts on Radio One and gaining respect from Legendary DJ Grooverider in the process. The old skool DJ is citing them as ‘THE’ major talent in Drum ‘n’ Bass. Support comes from David Thomas, Stu Todd, Jaylaxx, and Jack Stanley.

COMPAKT – 4TH BIRTHDAY GARY BECK

Arguably the best techno night in Edinburgh, Compakt continue to bring promoters who have played significant roles in creating cutting edge techno music – DJs such as Len Faki and Joey Beltram. They are selected because they are creators of the scene, and retain that warehouse vibe, which clubbers often yearn to experience. Tomorrow night, Scotland’s most in-demand techno jock, Gary Beck, headlines. Beck records for SOMA (Slam’s Record Label), Electric Deluxe (Speedy J’s label), Drumcode (Adam Beyers label) and his own Bek Audio. His live performances are full of industrial sounds – thumping slabs of pristine techno, every one a slammer.

• Other nights include Anagram, who will be throwing an Acid techno night in the Banshee Labyrinth (Niddry St, tomorrow, 10pm–3am, free).

Then we have a charity night organised by Pulse & Studio 24 to raise money for two-year-old Roma from Edinburgh, who has been battling cancer since birth. Featuring DJs from Pulse, Dogma, Access, Cause-It and Unseen.
