With dates in both Aberdeen and Glasgow already announced, the tour will see the group take their upcoming album, A Celebration of Endings, on the road for the first time. It will also be the band’s first major UK tour since 2016.

Scottish fans in particular are in luck this year, as Biffy Clyro are also set to play a starring role in Dundee’s Big Weekend in May, alongside the likes of Dua Lipa and Harry Styles.

How can I get tickets?

Tickets for the tour will go on sale at 10am on Friday 20 March 2020 and will be available via Live Nation

However, presale tickets will be available for those who pre-order the new album from the official Biffy Clyro site before 4pm on Monday 16 March. The presale will begin at 10am on Wednesday 18 March and runs until the general sale begins.

What songs will they play?

As the new tour is being built around the upcoming album, it’s safe to assume that the 2020 shows will feature a heavy dose of fresh Biffy material.

However, fans that have been following the band for years shouldn’t fret – it’d be no surprise if perennial favourites like Many of Horror, Bubbles and Black Chandelier.

The band’s eighth studio album, A Celebration of Endings, will be released on Friday 15 May 2020.

Two very different tracks, Instant History and End Of, have already been released from the upcoming album, and both have been met with critical acclaim.

Their two most recent albums, Opposites (2013) and Ellipsis (2016), went straight to number one in the album charts, so big things are expected from the new record.

With Ellipsis’ producer Rich Costey back on board for the new record, expectations are especially high.

Frontman Simon Neil has described the new record as “a very forward-looking album from a personal perspective and a societal perspective” so, while fans can expect more of the sound they already love, the album will likely also push the band into unexplored territory.
