Absolutely Legless jig onto Royal Mile

EDINBURGH’S traditional Irish dance troupe, Absolutely Legless, return to the stage when they tap their way onto the stage of the Scottish Storytelling Centre, on the High Street, this Saturday.

Inspired by the Irish hard and soft shoe traditions, the group perform “original dances in a relaxed and informal manner while remaining faithful to their roots.”

Comprising more than 25 dancers and musicians, Absolutely Legless share an international reputation for staging exciting and innovative performances, showcasing the grace of the soft shoe style alongside the power and rhythmic precision of the hard shoes.

The group come to the Royal mile fresh from a festival in Portugal, where they are pictured above. Their past performances have included appearances in the USA, France and Spain as well as Hungary, Sicily, Turkey and Poland.

Join them on Saturday as they seamlessly weave together the evocative melodies and driving rhythms of Irish dance music.
