Steven Gerrard 'still deserves' manager of the year - but Callum Davidson has a claim, says ex-Rangers forward
The Dane watched St Johnstone deny Rangers a league and cup double – and continue their own double dream – with a penalty shoot-out win at Ibrox on Sunday night to qualify for the final four of the Scottish Cup.

Former player Frazer Wright says Davidson deserves it and Lovenkrands added to the debate: “It’s interesting – if he goes and wins the double I think he could be considered for it.
“But at the moment I think what Steven Gerrard has done this season and how they won the league, by how many points and the difference to Celtic - it’s been phenomenal.”
Speaking to Sky Sports News he added: “They’re still unbeaten as well and to go a league season unbeaten – I still think he deserves it.”
Davidson and the Perth Saints will learn their semi-final opponents on Monday evening when the draw follows the last remaining quarter final match – Kilmarnock v St Mirren.
