The Gers partied on Sunday after winning the Scottish Premiership title for a 55th time, but attentions have turned back to Europe with the manager preparing his side to face the Czech side, who eliminated Leicester in the last round.

Kemar Roofe will return to training today and be included in the squad but Gerrard will give Ryan Jack more time to recover, with James Tavernier also remaining sidelined.

Gerrard said: “Roofe will train this morning and will be available. Jack could be ready but I have decided to hold back and he will be available for the second-leg, I don't want to push him too quick.

“Tavernier will be a little bit slower to return.”

Speaking ahead of the clash in the Czech capital, Gerrard added: "Obviously the size of the achievement and the emotions that came with that, I think the players deserved to celebrate.

"We have worked ever so hard during this journey and sacrificed a lot. They have put a tremendous amount of effort in to get it over the line. We also as a group have had some criticism along the way and have been down at times as well.

"So when you finally get it over the line the feeling is difficult to describe. But now we are back in the routine.

"I spoke to the players yesterday at length and we had a session where we got the legs moving again.

"They have had the chance to get some rest and it is actually a good thing that we are going away now. It has just been an incredible few days.

"I think the weekend has given us the hunger for success and the players will want more. It will be really interesting to see what level of performance we go and deliver. It is a game we are all looking forward to.

"Slavia Prague in the last round were extremely strong against a good team and coach. We are aware of the size of the challenge against a team playing extremely well. We know we have to be at our maximum to get the job done.”
