Scott Ernest, Edinburgh: "We can have no complaints at all about this result. We were really poor and would have been hammered if it hadn't been for Marian Kello. Not good enough."

Mark Chalmers, Dalry: "A bitterly disappointing defeat. I thought that we started well enough but we fell out of the game. We struggled to create chances and Aberdeen will not believe how easy we made it for them."

John Robb, Penicuik: "It was a really inexperienced team that we had in this game and Aberdeen were able to bully us out of the tie. We need experienced players to be brought in as soon as possible."

Ross White, Saughton: "We let ourselves down badly. Having said that, I thought that both of their goals looked offside and that's frustrating for us."

Jim Meikle, Tollcross: "It's a blow to have gone out of the cup at such an early stage. I thought that Csaba got the team selection wrong. Why wasn't Nade in from the start? He has been excellent lately and we missed his physical presence."

Vanessa Somerville, Barnton: "We didn't turn up for this game. I don't think their goalkeeper had a save to make until we were 2-0 down. We need to bounce back quickly from this setback."

Gordon Pentland, Leith: "The players gave their all but we are simply not good enough. We're far too lightweight and we struggle to impose ourselves on games. Hopefully, Romanov will put his hand in his pocket now and back Csaba."

Michael Flockhart, Trinity: "A dreadful performance. We were completely outplayed in the midfield and too many players had an off day. Aberdeen were poor but we were worse. The most disappointing thing was that they didn't need to play well to beat us."

Graeme Stevens, Morningside: "We missed too many of our more experienced players and had too many kids out there for such a big game. Aberdeen were just a bit too streetwise for us."

Darren McLean, Sighthill: "That was a horrendous display from Hearts. I thought we were unlucky with the goals because there was a hint of offside about them but we didn't deserve anything from the match anyway. Kello was our best player by a mile."

Michael Gallagher, Mayfield: "Our absent owner doesn't think we need to sign strikers. It's obvious he doesn't watch the team because we don't even look like scoring in the vast majority of games. There was a day when we had 20-odd goals a season from midfield with Paul Hartley and Rudi Skacel, now we don't have a five-goal-a-season striker."

Wee Keith, Albion Terrace: "Nade and Templeton should have been on from the start, which I am sure would have made a big difference. The fans were very unhappy and rightly so as it's a long way to travel to get put out of the cup."
