Wolstenholme wins Mallorca Open Senior

Gary Wolstenholme got his 2012 campaign off to a winning start with a two-stroke victory in the Mallorca Open Senior.

Wolstenholme, England’s most capped amateur before turning professional on reaching 50, claimed his second Senior Tour title with a final round 69 at Pula Golf Club for an eight under par total of 205.

South African Chris Williams, Australia’s Mike Harwood and England’s Paul Wesselingh finished tied second, two strokes back. Juan Quiros closed with a level par 71 to be the leading Spaniard a further shot back.
