In the women’s first division, City of Edinburgh have now emerged as the major threat to leaders Troon Team Ayrshire after brushing aside North Lanarkshire 25-14, 25-14, 25-17 to move second.
As a result, North Lanarkshire’s title hopes now look to be over.
Edinburgh Jets were involved in a tense five-set match with Su Ragazzi and just lost out 25-27, 25-20, 25-21, 25-27, 12-15.
