Volleyball: Revenge the spur in Perth

City of Edinburgh are set for another showdown with arch-rivals Troon PA at this weekend's Scottish Volleyball Open in Perth.

The event traditionally brings the curtain down on the domestic season and Edinburgh will be out for revenge for their Scottish Women's Cup final defeat by Troon earlier this month.

Perth is Britain's biggest annual tournament with over 100 teams competing including Americans USAAthletes from Kansas and German side Haustier. A total of 36 outdoor courts and five indoor courts at Bell's Sports Centre will be in operation.

Meanwhile, the Great Britain men, including Scots Chris Lamont, Mark McGivern and Andy Benson, will launch their competitive season with a double-header against Croatia in the European League in Sheffield.
