Volleyball: City trump Troon in tight test

City OF EDINBURGH handed Troon PA their first league defeat of the season to make life interesting at the top of the women’s Schelde Sports Scottish Volleyball League.

The Capital side lost the first set but fought back to win a tight four-set encounter by 22-25, 25-12, 25-23, 25-23.

It was not enough to overhaul Troon at the top but the margin could not be tighter with both teams on 31 points and the Ayrshire side just ahead thanks to sets percentage.
