Volleyball: Capital cup derby for volleyballers

Edinburgh Jets have pulled out the plum tie in the fourth round of the men's Scottish Volleyball Cup.

Jets, beaten finalists in 2008, travel to Queensferry next month to face current league champions City of Edinburgh.

It is the one trophy that has eluded City so far, though they have twice been in the final.

There are two all-first division ties with Bon Accord hosting Glasgow Mets which means there will be opportunities for lower division teams.

In the women's Scottish Cup, Troon PA - going for a fourth successive trophy - face non-league Dundee University. City of Edinburgh should have no difficulty against South Ayrshire II and Edinburgh Jets will also expect to progress at Glasgow International, who have been struggling in the top flight.

All of tomorrow's scheduled Scottish League and Sunday's Junior National League matches have been cancelled due to the severe weather.
