In all, 13 of the 14 team members won a medal and Burton was one of the last to appear, but delivered with a fine win in the under 100kg category. In an exclusive interview with scotsman.com, he speaks of the success in his last event, how he coped with his wife Gemma failing in her gold medal bid just minutes before he took to the mat and why he believes judo should be an inspirational national sport for Scotland in the future.
