Tie-break edges East girls to victory

East beat overnight table-toppers North 3-0 in the final session of play on Sunday morning to win the SLGA inter-area girls' team tournament at Ballumbie Castle Golf Club, near Dundee.

East and North each finished with four points. The tie-breaker was the total of games won by each side and East won it with seven games compared with North's 4. West beat South 2-1 in the other closing match but South held on to third place.
