Tennis: Same again for Britain in Fed Cup

Great Britain have named an unchanged team for this month’s Fed Cup tie against Sweden.

Elena Baltacha, Anne Keothavong, Heather Watson and Laura Robson will again form the GB side for the World Group II play-off in Boras on 21-22 April.

The same players beat the Netherlands, Israel and Portugal in the round-robin matches of the Euro/Africa Zone Group I competition and Austria in the promotion play-off.

Captain Judy Murray said: “I’m delighted to have all four members of that winning team available for the play-offs against Sweden. A place in the world group is up for grabs and we will be going to Boras determined to grab it.”

The winners of the tie will advance to World Group II, with the losers returning to Euro/Africa Zone Group I for 2013.

Meanwhile, Germany coach Barbara Rittner has recalled 11th-ranked Andrea Petkovic to face Australia in the Fed Cup play-offs with Wimbledon semi-finalist Sabine Lisicki rested.

She will play alongside Angelique Kerber, Julia Goerges and doubles specialist Anna-Lena Groenefeld.
