Table Tennis: Christopher Wheeler is national champion again

Christopher Wheeler, from Wallacestone Primary in Falkirk, has regained his title at the national primary school table tennis championships.

The event at Bells Sports Centre in Perth attracted an entry of 33 boys and 22 girls vying for places in the British Championships in Wales in April. Wheeler defeated Yaser Razouk, from Killermont Primary in Bearsden, in the final of the boys event. In the girls event, Nadia Doherty, from Scotstoun Primary in Glasgow, beat Imogen Evans, from St George's School in Edinburgh, in the final.

Regionalqualifiersfor the Scottish Senior School Championships Finals on 27 February will be held in Edinburgh on 16 January and in Stirling, the Midlands and the west also on 6 February.
